The greatest Buffalo Bills player to wear #35:

If there ever was a defensive version of Kurt Warner (minus the Super Bowl ring), It’d be Jim Leonhard. The pride of the small town of Tony, Wisconsin, Leonhard not only walked onto the Badgers squad in college but basically did the same after going undrafted and joining the team in the 2005 season. While Leonhard went on to leave Buffalo in 2007 and have a journeyman-like career, he’s regarded as one of the more humble and cooler guys to do it.

Leonhard would also return for one season in Buffalo in 2013. As for who was also in the running, Leonhard beat Jonathon Linton who had 1000 rushing yards in 3 years. While that is a great number by itself, Leonhard was undrafted and had as many picks as Linton did TD’s (six).

Leonhard is currently the Defensive Coordinator for the Wisconsin Badgers, and also recently turned down an opportunity to join the Packers staff in the same role.
