Trading for Stefon Diggs

Starting with the most recent example on this list, Stefon Diggs was truly a difference-maker in his first season with the Buffalo Bills.

Diggs’ production skyrocketed in 2020; he jumped from 63 catches to a league-leading 127 and garnered just over 400 yards more than he did in 2019, finishing 2020 with 1,535 receiving yards.

Diggs was a huge help for Josh Allen, and while he isn’t fully responsible for Allen’s astronomical rise, his presence was crucial in both moving the chains and in the red zone.

Diggs was tied with Davante Adams for third in the NFL in first downs, accumulating 78, and led the Bills with touchdown catches.

During the regular season, Diggs provided some electric performances, like his games against the Dolphins, Steelers, Broncos, and Patriots.

Diggs provided a spark to a passing offense that needed a true number one receiver to maximize its explosiveness, and that is exactly what Diggs provided for the Buffalo offense.

Throughout the playoffs, Diggs showed out; he went for six catches, 128 yards, and a touchdown in the Wild Card round against the Colts. In the next round against the Ravens, Diggs caught eight passes for 106 yards and another score. Diggs put up a decent showing in the AFC Championship Game despite the one-sided scoreline, catching six passes for 77 yards.

The addition of Stefon Diggs was the best addition made by any team across the NFL in the 2020 offseason, and he should be a major contributor in Buffalo for the foreseeable future.
