Buffalo Bills: Predicting the RB depth chart entering training camp
Second String: Zack Moss
In Zack Moss’ first season with the Buffalo Bills, he showed some promise but it wasn’t always consistent. He had a good game against the Los Angeles Chargers where he ran for 59 yards and had averaged 6.56 yards per carry but then the next week was benched early in the game for a fumble.
However, after that game, he had a stretch of three straight weeks with double-digit carries and had 181 rushing yards in those games.
The good news is that he should enter training camp at full health, or close to full health, after rehabbing his way back from that ankle injury. During the minicamp, McDermott gave Moss credit for how hard he has worked and believes he should be ready for training camp.
When looking at the top two running backs, Zack Moss is probably the more complete running back as he brings more power to the position while still being able to be a force in the passing game.
Even though Moss is second string here, it wouldn’t take much for him to move into the starting role this preseason.
