Buffalo Bills: 5 great games that fans may have forgotten

Buffalo Bills – Cincinnati Bengals (November 21st, 2010)

2010 was a dreadful year for the Buffalo Bills. The second half of the season was certainly the better portion for the Bills; they went 4-4 after losing their first eight games of the season.

The highlight of the 2010 season for the Bills was their Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bills entered Week 11 with a 1-8 record. Cincinnati was not much better; they were 2-7.

The Bengals and Bills traded touchdowns in the first quarter, leaving them tied at seven after 15 minutes. Cincinnati would score 24 of the next 31 points in the game, including a 21-yard pick-six by Jonathan Joseph. The halftime scoreline was 31-14 Bengals; they would be shut out in the second half.

The comeback effort started when Ryan Fitzpatrick found Stevie Johnson on a 28-yard touchdown pass, drawing the Bills a score closer.

Under a minute later, Marcus Stroud knocked the ball free from Cedric Benson. Drayton Florence recovered the fumble and took it 27 yards for the score to bring the Bills within a field goal.

In the fourth quarter, Fitzpatrick and Johnson would connect twice in two and a half minutes, giving the Bills a 42-31 lead. A 30 yard Fred Jackson touchdown would seal the deal for the Bills, bringing the game to its final scoreline of 49-31.

The Bills scored 35 unanswered points in the second half to win their second game of the season, which was also their second in a row.

Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 21 of 34 passes for 316 yards, throwing four touchdowns and two interceptions. Stevie Johnson hauled in eight passes for 137 yards and three touchdowns and had the infamous “Why So Serious?” touchdown celebration.

The second half of this game was wildly entertaining, and certainly worth a watch if you can find the highlights somewhere.
