The best Buffalo Bills player to wear #21: Willis McGahee

Willis McGahee, the team’s first-round selection in the 2003 draft spent four years with the team, but he missed the 2003 season after a horrific injury to his left knee in which he tore 3 ligaments during the 2003 Fiesta Bowl.

McGahee beat out C.J. Spiller by about 30 yards to take the top spot for #21. If that isn’t enough separation, then the fact that McGahee had twice as many rushing touchdowns (24) as compared to Spiller (12), then that should seal the victory right there. After winning PFW’s 2004 Comeback Player of the Year Award, McGahee left in 2006 and played for three other teams in his career.

Arguably his most famous moment came on a long touchdown run up the middle in the final game in Texas Stadium where the Ravens shut down the party that was planned. The player who currently occupies this number is Safety Jordan Poyer. If the Buffalo Bills do win the Super Bowl, then Poyer may just bump McGahee out of his top spot.
