With the running backs dominating this one, it seems like almost every single one of these guys overcame some incredible adversity in their lives and playing careers to enjoy their time in the NFL. Three of these players came from smaller colleges that don’t get the recognition as power five conferences do, especially  Jackson at the Division III level.

McGahee recovered from that terrible triple ligament tear to have a solid career. Jackson played in almost every league imaginable and was a beloved component of the Buffalo Bills offense. Smith worked his way up from being a factory worker to a Super Bowl champion, while McGee set the bar high for the Bills special teams units going forward. Finally, McCoy was still a great running back in the latter part of his prime with the team.

Next. Can the current backups replace Cole Beasley if he retires?. dark

Congratulations to these guys on their careers and what they accomplished. We hope to see you back for numbers 26 through 30!
