Cole Beasley may retire, creating a potential hole that the Buffalo Bills need to fix.

With nothing new happening since his infamous Twitter rant about a week ago and his “PSA“, The Buffalo Bills may need to start thinking about his replacement if Beasley decides to retire. While it’s debatable if Beasley would shift down to WR3 (or stay WR2 if he stays) with the addition of veteran free-agent Emmanuel Sanders, the problem still exists.

Sanders would instantly assume the #2 role, and that leaves a handful of in-house replacements for Beasley. Gabriel Davis, Marquez Stevenson, and Isaiah McKenzie are the top three guys for the job and depth chart. Replacing Beasley with an effective playmaker will continue to let Stefon Diggs shine.

A failure to replace would feature a Bills offense that would look closer to what Diggs had in his time with Minnesota Vikings- no viable options in the receiving game to take the attention from him. Or it could be more of what the Arizona Cardinals have, where it’s just DeAndre Hopkins and no one else.

Both situations must be avoided if all of this happens, otherwise, the road to a Lombardi trophy will get much harder. The candidates will be ranked in order of least likely to must.
