Number 2 – Gabriel Davis

When taking into account the offensive philosophy of the Buffalo Bills and how pass-heavy they are, Gabriel Davis is ranked very high on this list. As a rookie, Davis had an excellent season that included 35 receptions on 62 targets for 599 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns, which was second on the Bills behind only Stefon Diggs. He also led the team in yards per reception at 17.1, which was over four yards higher than John Brown’s average and five yards higher than Diggs.

Entering the year, Davis wasn’t expected to have much of a role with a depth chart that had Diggs, Cole Beasley, and John Brown at the top. However, he was able to find ways to make an impact early in the season, and then when Brown missed time due to injury, he did a good job stepping in as a starter.

This season, he once again will likely be competing with a veteran, Emmanuel Sanders, for playing time. However, when taking into account what he did last year it wouldn’t be surprising to see him win the starting job and continue to play at a high level with increased snaps.
