Mitchell Trubisky has looked good during offseason practices

The hope is that the Buffalo Bills will never have to turn to their back up quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky, for a long stretch during the regular season. This would mean the team would be without their star quarterback Josh Allen, which certainly would not be good news.

However, the early reports are promising and should give fans a little more confidence if Trubisky has to step onto the field. Sal Capaccio of WGR550 wrote about the former first round pick:

"I felt quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had a strong few weeks from the sessions the media was allowed to watch, and that included on Wednesday. Granted, there is no touching the quarterback, but he was patient and good with lots of bodies around him, stepping up and making the right reads and good throws."

As Capaccio notes, this is offseason workouts with no pads and players are not able to hit the quarterback. The first real test will come in the preseason to see how comfortable he is in this offense and how he looks with Brian Daboll calling the plays.

However, there is no question this is a great sign and a good start for Mitchell Trubisky.
