With the Atlanta Falcons poised to select Florida’s Kyle Pitts, adding Devin Singletary alongside him and Calvin Ridley could help them compete in the NFC South.

Last season, the Falcons had Todd Gurley but he didn’t look like the same running back the last time he played in the state of Georgia with the University of Georgia. It doesn’t appear he is likely to be back with the Falcons as he is a free agent and they did sign Mike Davis.

However, they could use a complimentary back to Davis and this is why Atlanta could make sense for the Falcons.

Atlanta is a spot where Singletary could potentially start rather than be a complementary piece for the Falcons. Singletary has carried the brunt of the workload in Buffalo with his counterpart, Zack Moss, being a battering-ram in third-down/goal-line packages.

The addition of Singletary could give the Falcons a training camp battle with Mike Davis to determine who the starter is. If Singletary was to win the job, he could be the featured back while Davis steps into more of a goal-line, short-yardage role.
