4. Safety

The next position may come as a surprise considering the Buffalo Bills have Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde. These two combine to make one of the top safety duos in the league and are under contract for the next few seasons.

However, the depth behind them is a bit of a concern and after the Bills lost Dean Marlowe this offseason could use another player who could step into the starting lineup if the need were to arise.

This isn’t the only reason though and the Buffalo Bills should be looking for a big safety who can play closer to the line of scrimmage as a nickel linebacker or a big nickel. This player can help in run defense but also line up against tight ends, which is something the Bills struggled with last year.

Now that the New England Patriots have Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry, along with Mike Gesicki down in Miami, the Bills will see plenty of pass-catching tight ends next year. They need a player who can line up in coverage and limit their impact.
