4. New York Jets

While the New York Jets made some good moves in free agency, like the additions of Carl Lawson and Corey Davis, they were so far behind the rest of the AFC East they didn’t close the gap enough to move up in these rankings. They also have a major question mark at quarterback after the trade of Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers.

Now the Jets will address the position later this month as all signs point to them selecting Zack Wilson with the second overall pick. However, they don’t have a veteran quarterback currently on the roster as a backup or someone who can compete if Wilson struggles during training camp. Although that could change soon as the team did recently meet with free agent Brian Hoyer.

On the defensive side of the ball, their strength is on the defensive line with Lawson and Sheldon Rankins joining Quinnen Williams. The concern though for this group is clearly in the secondary, in particular on the outside at cornerback. The duo of Bryce Hall and Bless Austin is currently expected to be their starters but the Jets are sure to address this position in the NFL Draft.
