If the New England Patriots do not draft a quarterback in the first round, they could instead opt for a linebacker like Micah Parsons. The former Penn State Nittany Lion is one of the more dynamic defensive players in the entire NFL Draft.

In the scouting report on The Pro Football Network, they describe a player who is fast, explosive, and can change direction quickly.

"Insanely athletic linebacker who plays explosive football. Fast moving in every direction, very sudden, and creates turnovers. Covers a lot of area, possesses a tremendous closing burst, and has a violent nature to his game. Easily changes direction and alters his angle of attack without losing momentum."

The reason the Buffalo Bills wouldn’t want to see Parsons in the AFC East is that a linebacker like him could neutralize one of the areas that make Josh Allen so tough to defend. The Bills’ starting quarterback is one of the more mobile quarterbacks in the league and has found success with his legs, especially around the goal line.

If the Patriots were to draft Micah Parsons, it gives them a player that could match what Allen brings to the Bills’ offense.
