Najee Harris
The final player on this list is Najee Harris out of the University of Alabama. The star running back would most likely be a second-round target for the New York Jets or Miami Dolphins, potentially sneaking into the first round with either of those teams using their second first-round pick.
Harris is one of the more complete running backs in this year’s draft class and can basically do anything a team would want from their running back. He has good size that allows him to run with power but has the athleticism to be elusive and force defenders to miss. Harris also is a pretty good pass catcher and teams could get creative splitting him out as a wide receiver.
The Jets, who likely are taking Zack Wilson second overall, could use a running back like Najee Harris to take pressure off their rookie quarterback, or the Dolphins, who after possibly taking Pitts or Waddle, can get a three-down running back to put in their backfield.
Last year, the defense struggled at times against the run and the hope is that a returning Star Lotulelei should help here. However, if he doesn’t this could be a tough matchup for the Buffalo Bills.
