Buffalo Bills Safety

Starters: Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer

Bench: Jaquan Johnson, Josh Thomas

The starting safeties are not a concern for the Buffalo Bills, and are actually a strength for this defense, with Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer. However, there are some serious questions after these two on the bench.

The team does have Jaquan Johnson, who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft and has played in 27 games but has only 102 career snaps on defense. The other safety is Josh Thomas, who was on the Buffalo Bills practice squad last year after being an undrafted free agent signing.

This is one position that is almost guaranteed to have a few more players added, and one of those should be Dean Marlowe. He is a veteran safety who knows this defense and played well in place of Micah Hyde last year.
