Buffalo Bills re-sign Jon Feliciano to 3-year deal worth $17M
According to Matt Parrino, the Buffalo Bills and Jon Feliciano have reached an agreement $17M deal to keep the offensive guard in Buffalo for 3 years. Feliciano has been a key part of this offensive line rebuild and his mentality on the field is a big part of what the Bills have retained. As a fierce competitor and close friend of Bills quarterback Josh Allen, the Bills offense will keep that chippy quality in 2021.
Similar to the re-signings of Matt Milano and Daryl Williams, Feliciano took a slight discount on his contract. All three of these key free agents for the Buffalo Bills were expected to get maybe $2M more annually if they tested the market. However, Brandon Beane must have done a great job negotiating as these players understand the culture that they would be leaving behind by signing elsewhere.
With the decreased cap space in 2021, there were plenty of veterans released across the league and a lot at the offensive guard position. This influx of talent somewhat saturated the market for free agent guards, which could have influenced Felciano to run it back with the Buffalo Bills in 2021 on a slight discount.
Now that the Bills have filled the main three gaps in their roster, they can truly draft the best player available in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. At one point this offseason, it was assumed that the Bills would only be financially capable of bringing back 2 of the 3 players I mentioned above. These offseason moves pulled off by general manager Brandon Beane have drastically shifted the priority of position needs heading into the draft.

With the departure of John Brown and the expected retirement of Lee Smith, the Bills could draft a wide receiver or tight end at 30th overall. If the priority is improving the defense, the Bills can now target a defensive lineman at 30th overall or a cornerback to play opposite of Tre’Davious White.
