The next prospect is big Jackson Carman standing at 6’5 and about 330 pounds. Most people project Carman as a guard at the next level, but there has been some talk that Carman lost a bit of weight to showcase a more athletic profile that can play offensive tackle. It is uncertain how much weight he lost and if it even helped him improve his chances of being evaluated as an offensive tackle.

In terms of what the Bills need this offseason, they will likely be interested in Carman as a guard prospect after recently re-signing Daryl Williams. As the starting left tackle for the Clemson Tigers for the last two years, Carman has played against some quality edge rushers in the ACC. This guy is battle tested at one of the highest levels in college football. The transition to guard for Carmen should be seamless considering the balance of play strength and athleticism that is apparent in his game.

Carman is currently projected to get drafted somewhere in the second round. With all the uncertainty of the draft process this year, it’s hard to peg exactly when he will be selected. However, my guess is that he will be drafted in between the Buffalo Bills first round and second round picks. Carman is a good prospect with plenty of upside moving forward, but I think it would be a reach for the Bills to select him at 30th overall. On the other hand, if he slides down to the Bills second round pick, it would be hard to pass up on him if there’s still a glaring need for a guard.
