Win the First Half

Although winning the first half is largely dependent on the first two keys to victory already mentioned. Winning the first half will make it much more attainable for the Bills to close out the game and advance to 11-3 on the season with a Week 15 win.

The Denver Broncos defense has been severely decimated at the cornerback position so far this season. They have suffered multiple injuries at that position and are now depending on their initial depth players at cornerback to start in Week 15 against the Bills. With John Brown possibly returning this week and the way Cole Beasley and Stefon Diggs have been torching opposing defensive backs all season, it should be difficult for the Broncos to stay with the Buffalo Bills receivers in this game.

Ideally, the Bills can take advantage of the Broncos at the cornerback position and use their top pass catching threats to gain an early lead in the first half. If this is the case, the Bills offense will then be enabled to run the ball and chew out the second half clock with the lead.

Last week, the Bills had the lead over the Steelers and got the ball back with just over 7 minutes left in the game. At that point, Zack Moss and the Buffalo Bills’ offense was able to sustain a drive and milk the clock with an efficient running game.

Coming into Week 15 against the Broncos, the Bills will need to take advantage of the Broncos’ poor run defense. The Broncos rank 27th in total rushing yards allowed at 1703 total yards which averages out to 131 yards allowed per game. Additionally, the Broncos rank 28th in yards allowed per attempt at about 4.6 yards per carry.

Although running the football is not the strength of this Bills offense, that is exactly why getting a lead going into the second half would go a long way in terms of unlocking the potential for the Buffalo ground game to explode.
