Gabriel Davis
When opposing defenses circle the weapons they will have to stress about for the next several days, players like Gabriel Davis are not high on that list. The reason being is that the 2020 NFL Draft product has yet to post a sizeable workload worthy of drawing a team’s number one corner for a matchup. This is due in larger part because the Bills are better than they have been in years at the wide receiver position with Stefon Diggs, John Brown, and Cole Beasley who draw all of the defensive attention.
With Gabriel Davis getting more acclimated to the Bills offense each and every week, he seemed to be getting more chances to make plays. The past three weeks due to the return of John Brown, Davis has been hovering around the 55% mark when it comes to the percentage of snaps taken. Though this is a far cry from what he was playing against the New York Jets at 95%, he has still been able to contribute.
Recording 70 yards and a touchdown on six targets in the span of his last two starts, Davis has been slowly becoming a threat on the Buffalo Bills.
Facing a Los Angeles Chargers team this week who will absolutely have their hands full with not only trying to contain Josh Allen but his abundance of options out wide. As the pocket breaks down it is almost guaranteed that Allen’s options will be in double coverage which may see Davis see an uptick in production now that John Brown has been ruled out for Sunday.
