Buffalo Bills vs. Expectations
Though this key matchup is not player or position-specific, it is still extremely important to compare the goals and motivations of these teams. For Buffalo, the season-long goal has been focused on playoffs. For Los Angeles, their season has not necessarily been measured by the accomplishment of a goal, but rather finding who they have on their roster in a re-building-like season.
Due to the way both of these rosters are constructed, there is no reason as to why the Buffalo Bills should not win this game. In every area (offense, defense, special teams) Buffalo is exponentially better. Though, that does not mean that Los Angeles can play “spoiler” and drop Buffalo’s record against the AFC. With Miami on the up and coming, a loss against another AFC team could be detrimental to the Bills’ postseason aspirations.
The way that this could happen hinges on the adjustments that Sean McDermott and the Bills coaching staff have made. Entering the bye week, there were some aspects of the team’s play that needed to be put under a microscope. The most important being the team’s ability to continuously score in all four quarters of a football game.
If that has been fixed and the team comes to play with their united focus on their season-long goal, the Buffalo Bills should come out on top. By a large margin.
