Cole’Dell Beasley

Since his arrival in Buffalo, Cole Beasly has been a tremendous contribution to the Buffalo Bills offense. Hauling in a total of 121 receptions in a Bills’ uniform, no performance, outside of his homecoming against Dallas last season, was as clutch as Sunday’s.

With 11 receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown on the day, Beasley came to play. Making receptions in short-yardage, long-yardage and even on the sidelines, his versatility and play-making ability led to multiple points.

One of those plays was a highlight reel grab on the offense’s final drive as Cole Beasley went up and made a one handed catch, and why he has the new nickname of Cole’Dell, to convert a third down and keep the drive alive.

These types of games are exactly what Beasley was brought in to do. He has established himself as an incredible second-third read for Josh Allen in third-down situations. And to his credit, Beasley has been near automatic in those situations, his ability to prolong drives when a first-down seems near impossible, he has been there to convert them.

Though ultimately his performance has now been thrown into the shadow of De’Andre Hopkins’ game-winning last-minute catch to seal it, he was arguably the best on the field.

This is nothing new as Bills fans have come to expect as Sunday marks his third 100-yard reception game this season. With games against the Los Angeles Chargers and San Fransico 49ers on the post-bye horizon, history may be able to repeat itself as the Bills look to get back in the win column.
