Buffalo Bills: Keys to Victory and Final Score Prediction for Week 5
Keep Josh Allen Clean
Although the interior of the Bills offensive line has been shuffling around a bit this season, collectively the unit has done a relatively good job of keeping the pass rush away from Josh Allen. Part of this success can be put on the offensive line play, but a good chunk of it can be put on the escapability of Allen as well as his ability to improvise. Regardless, Allen will have his best chance for success if he is comfortable and has time to make his reads in the pocket.
Although the Titans defensive line has been depleted by multiple positive COVID-19 tests, they still have two productive edge rushers in Harold Landry and Jadeveon Clowney. Although there won’t be as much interior pressure in Week 5, these two edge rushers are very capable of pressuring the quarterback as well as setting the edge against the run.
They may not have any sacks yet this season, but they both have five quarterback hits in three games. After suffering a minor shoulder injury about halfway through last week’s game, it’s imperative that the Bills offensive line keeps Josh Allen clean in this game. Not only to preserve hope for success in this game, but also for the remainder of the season.
