Round 3: Jalen Mayfield (OT, Michigan)

The Buffalo Bills could potentially be in the market for a right tackle after this season if they are not able to re-sign Daryl Williams. While they could potentially move Cody Ford back to right tackle, selecting a player like Jalen Mayfield could be the better option.

Mayfield is a bit inexperienced as he has only 16 games at the collegiate level, starting 13 of those games at the right tackle. As Kyle Crabbs of The Draft Network writes in his scouting report, he may not be as polished but has tremendous athletic ability that any team would be excited about.

"Showcases good length and functional strength away from his frame; Mayfield pair his athletic ability with his length to provide a notable gravitational pull as a blocker. He’s really good at offsetting power rushes and anchors well with natural lower body strength. Has the foot speed to continue to develop his pass sets and become a reliable protector and only has 16 games played (13 starts — all at RT) under his belt. The sky is the limit."

This addresses a potential need for the Buffalo Bills and with Dawkins locked in at left tackle gives them a long term solution at both tackle positions.
