Buffalo Bills trade away Trent Murphy

If the Buffalo Bills were to trade for either Carlos Dunlap or Ryan Kerrigan, moving a player like Trent Murphy would make sense to create the necessary cap space to add either pass rusher. While the coaching staff seems to remain committed to Murphy, he hasn’t really produced with the playing time he is getting.

He has started all four games for the Bills but is only playing 52% of the defensive snaps and currently has six total tackles, one tackle for a loss, and one sack. In the previous two seasons, Murphy started 26 games and has nine sacks and 60 total tackles.

While it would likely not be a great market for Murphy, the fact that he is in the last year of his current deal could be appealing to a team needing depth at the defensive end.
