Buffalo Bills trade with Washington for Ryan Kerrigan

Another defensive end the Buffalo Bills could target is Ryan Kerrigan with Washington. He also is older at 32 years of age but is in his final year of his contract. If the Bills were to trade for him, there wouldn’t be as much financial commitment as there would be with Dunlap.

Kerrigan was a first round pick by Washington in 2011 and became an immediate starter as a rookie playing every game from 2011 to 2019 but missed four games last year due to injury. He has been highly productive during his career with at least 7.5 sacks every year prior to last season, including four years with double-digit sacks.

The reasoning would essentially be the same for trading for Carlos Dunlap. The Washington Football team is likely not competing for a playoff spot and would rather collect draft picks. The team trading one, or both, of their fifth round picks should be enough to get a deal done.
