No Buffalo Bills WR will finish with over 1,000 receiving yards

Last year, the Buffalo Bills had a wide receiver, John Brown, break 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since 2015 when Sammy Watkins accomplished that. The Bills have not been known for having good wide receivers but entering 2020 they have one of the best trios in the NFL.

The reason is that the Bills added Stefon Diggs this offseason to be their number one wide receiver with John Brown as their number two on the outside and Cole Beasley remains as their starting slot receiver.

In addition to these three receivers, the Bills still have two good pass-catching running backs and an athletic tight end in Dawson Knox. The point is that Josh Allen is going to have a lot of options this year and can spread the ball around. When considering this is probably still going to be a run-heavy offense, it is unlikely that any wide receiver will break 1,000 receiving yards this year.

This could actually be a good thing for this offense as it will make it much tougher to defend. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a scenario where the Bills saw their Top 3 wide receivers each finish with 700-800 receiving yards this year.

In addition, this would be a sign that Josh Allen is developing as a quarterback because it will show he is working through his progressions and being able to understand what the defense is giving him.
