Buffalo Bills: 3 deals the team still has left to do before 2020 season

Extend Tre’Davious White

This move isn’t as pressing as working out an extension for Matt Milano but the Buffalo Bills should try to get something done before this season. Tre’Davious White was also part of Sean McDermott’s first draft in 2017 but since he was a first-round pick, the Bills were able to pick up his fifth-year option. This means he is under contract through the 2021 season.

Tre’Davious White is coming off a breakout season where he vaulted himself into the discussion of being one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He finished the year with six interceptions, which was tied for the league lead, and earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl and a selection to the first-team All-Pro.

There is no question that White is going to command the bigger deal between him and Milano. He realistically could end up being the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL, which would be an average salary of around $16 million according to Spotrac.

If the Buffalo Bills aren’t able to get a deal done before this season, it won’t be as concerning as not getting a deal done with Matt Milano. They will still have one more offseason to work out a deal but the question becomes if they have enough cap space to extend both. If they can only keep one, it should be Tre’Davious White.
