What rotation will the defensive line have?

On the defensive side of the ball, the defensive line was a point of focus for the Buffalo Bills. The team lost Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson but signed free agents Vernon Butler, Quinton Jefferson, Mario Addison and drafted A.J. Epenesa.

The coaching staff must now try and figure out what the rotation is to get these players on the field and worked in alongside the likes of Ed Oliver, Jerry Hughes, Trent Murphy and a returning Harrison Phillips.

Earlier this offseason, we looked at all the possible line formations the coaching staff will have at their disposal. The versatility they have with Epenesa, Butler and Jefferson, who all can play outside as well as inside, allows for the Buffalo Bills to be creative. More importantly, it keeps the players fresh as they manage their workload over the course of a game as well as the season.

Prediction: Starting line will be Mario Addison (DE), Harrison Phillips (DT), Ed Oliver (DT), Jerry Hughes (DE) but the starters likely won’t play more than 50% of the defensive snaps with the depth.
