The Buffalo Bills are set at safety with Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer but the depth after them is a bit concerning due to their inexperience. Currently, the likely backups will be Dean Marlowe and last year’s sixth-round pick Jaquan Johnson.

A player like Eric Reid would be a great option, if he was willing to join the team as a backup. Reid has played the last two years with the Carolina Panthers as their starting strong safety. He has been highly productive with 201 total tackles, five sacks, one interception and 11 passes defended.

The biggest hurdle would be if he would be willing to take a backup job or if he is hoping for a starting role this coming season. If he is willing to be a backup, this would be a huge boost for the Buffalo Bills depth because he also would have some familiarity with the defense from his time with the Panthers.
