Damon Harrison

The last player on this list is Damon “Snacks” Harrison, who is coming off a down year with the Detroit Lions. However, he has the potential to be a starter and could be an upgrade over Star Lotulelei, who opted out of the 2020 season.

The depth at the defensive tackle position is one of the best on the Buffalo Bills and the coaching staff is going to have plenty of options to replace Lotulelei. The return of Harrison Phillips, who tore his ACL last year, would be a big boost but it remains to be seen how much lingering effects there will be and if he could shoulder a full-time workload.

The Bills also have Quinton Jefferson, Vernon Butler and Vincent Taylor on the roster who could play that one-technique in this defense. The fact that they did bring in four defensive tackles over the past few days could be an indication that they want to add another piece to this position.

That is why it would make perfect sense to add someone like Damon Harrison as he is a big body, that can clog running lanes and tie up blockers. At 31 years of age, and the fact that he is coming off a down year, is certainly reason to be concerned but at the very least he could be a big part of the rotation.
