Cornerback

Levi Wallace vs. Josh Norman

Probably one of the most competitive training camp battles is going to be for the cornerback job opposite Tre’Davious White. The Bills do still have Levi Wallace, who was the starter a season ago, however he did lose some snaps to Kevin Johnson towards the end of the year.

That is why it wasn’t much a surprise to see the Buffalo Bills add Josh Norman in the offseason. The veteran cornerback is coming off a rough stretch with Washington after having a career year in 2015 with the Carolina Panthers, playing in Sean McDermott’s defensive scheme.

While he may not return to that All-Pro level, the Bills don’t need him to for him to be successful. He will no longer need to be that top corner due to Tre’Davious White and will only be forced to line up against number two wide receivers.

This is a battle that is a coin flip with a number of ‘what ifs’ that need to be answered during training camp. Can Levi Wallace play at a level the coaching staff commits to him as a full time starter? Does Josh Norman rebound playing in Sean McDermott’s scheme?

Next. Where does Josh Allen/Stefon Diggs ranks in the AFC East?. dark

I am going to lean towards the latter and a motivated Josh Norman is tough to beat.

Winner: Josh Norman
