Right Tackle

Cody Ford vs. Daryl Williams

The right tackle battle may not be a battle at all but it is worth discussing. The Buffalo Bills are likely to keep Cody Ford at right tackle after the signing of Brian Winters. He was the team’s starting right tackle last year as a rookie and while he had some struggles, he played well enough to warrant keeping the starting job.

The reason it is worth mentioning this as a battle is because of the presence of Daryl Williams. The former Carolina Panther tackle at one time was considering a rising star at the position. He even was named as a second-team All-Pro in 2017.

However, injuries in 2018 and the fact he was moved around the offensive line in 2019 never gave him a chance to really regain that magic. If the Buffalo Bills allow him to focus primarily on right tackle, and now that he is two years removed from his knee injury, may be enough to push Ford for the starting job.

Winner: Cody Ford
