Kicker

Stephen Hauschka vs. Tyler Bass

Both kicking specialist jobs are up for grabs and at kicker it will be a battle between the veteran Stephen Hauschka and the sixth round pick by the Buffalo Bills, Tyler Bass.

Hauschka has been the Bills starting kicker for the past three years but has struggled the past two. In 2017, his first year with the team, he made over 87% of his field goal attempts but has seen that percentage drop to 79% the past two seasons.

The bigger concern likely for the Bills is he has specifically struggled with his range and made only 1 of 5 field goals this past season over 50 yards.

Leg strength is far from being a concern for Tyler Bass and during his time at Georgia Southern made two of four attempts over 50 yards and 25 of 32 over 40 yards. The concern for a rookie kicker is how he handles pressure situations and this is not something that can be easily replicated without preseason games.

For this reason, the Buffalo Bills will likely stick with the veteran for at least one more year.

Winner: Stephen Hauschka
