Number 1: Nate Odomes

Back in 1987, the Buffalo Bills selected Nate Odomes in the second round of the NFL Draft. After being drafted by Buffalo, Odomes spent seven seasons there in which he experienced tremendous team success as he was part of the four year Super Bowl run. In these years, Odomes intercepted some truly legendary quarterbacks including Dan Marino, John Elway, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Phil Simms, Joe Montana and Warren Moon.

During his time in Buffalo, Odomes lead the group on this list with 26 total interceptions but ranks third in interceptions per season at about 3.7, behind Clements and White. Unfortunately, there is no way to get his statistics for passes defensed because this was not a standard statistic at the time of his career. However, Odomes had nine total forced fumbles while on the Bills which proves how valuable he was in turnover production for the defense.

Most notably, Odomes made back to back Pro Bowls during his career in Buffalo, in the 1992 and 1993 seasons. In the 1993 season particularly, Odomes had a whopping nine interceptions, once again emphasizing his turnover production.

Odomes individual production proved to be a backbone of the Bills’ secondary. This kind of anchor in the secondary helped solidify the Bills as a top defense to match their high powered offense during their Super Bowl runs in the late 80s and early 90s.

This kind of team success combined with his individual statistics is what locked Nate Odomes in on this list as the Buffalo Bills best Cornerback of all time. However, with Tre’Davious White still active and coming off of his best year in the league, it is possible for Odomes to be dethroned by White as he enters his prime.
