3 Buffalo Bills who could make NFL Network’s ‘Top 100’ next year for first time
Tremaine Edmunds
The one player that has the best chance, and frankly should have probably made it this year, is Tremaine Edmunds. The Bills drafted Edmunds in the first round in the 2018 NFL Draft and stepped in right away as the team’s starting middle linebacker.
In the past two years, Edmunds has been a key piece to this defense, playing close to 95% of the team’s total defensive snaps over that stretch on a defense that has been near the top of the league. He also has surpassed 100 total tackles each year and this past season made his first Pro Bowl.
In Sean McDermott’s defense, there is high expectations put on the middle linebacker and they are asked to do alot. The unique size and speed Edmunds possesses allows him to move sideline to sideline to play the run but he also does a good job defending the pass. For his career, Edmunds has 21 passes defended and three interceptions these past two seasons.
As long as Tremaine Edmunds stays healthy, he is going to have a chance to rack up stats in this defense. He should be able to solidify his place as one of the best linebackers in the NFL and make next year’s ‘Top 100 players in the NFL’.
