Dion Dawkins

Another player who looks to be on the verge of breaking out is left tackle Dion Dawkins. The Buffalo Bills drafted Dawkins in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and after a Cordy Glenn injury, Dawkins stepped into the starting lineup. He has remained in that role since then.

However, the 2018 season was a bit of a down year as he struggled, especially in pass blocking. This may not have been entirely his fault as the offensive line as a whole struggled. The Bills added four new starters last offseason and once they made changes, the performance improved as did Dion Dawkins.

Entering this season, the Bills have brought back all five starters and this continuity should help the offensive line continue to improve. If Dion Dawkins is able to take that next step, playing left tackle which is one of the higher profile positions on the offensive line, he could get enough votes to make next year’s list.
