2. Stefon Diggs

The next best fantasy option on the Buffalo Bills is newly added wide receiver Stefon Diggs. On the Vikings last year, Diggs finished as the 69th overall fantasy scorer and 24th fantasy scorer for wide receivers. There is some reason for reluctance regarding Diggs’ first year on a new team, but on the Bills he will be the clear top pass catcher on the roster. On the Vikings, Diggs had to fight for his target share with equally talented receiver Adam Thielen. However, if you look at John Brown’s production on the Bills in 2019 it seems apparent that Brian Daboll will scheme up Diggs to get the majority of the targets in 2020. Furthermore, the Bills have depth when it comes to pass catching options which will make it difficult for defenses to double team Diggs.

Due to the national perception of Josh Allen’s inaccuracy and the fear of the unknown with Diggs on a new team, it is likely that Diggs could slip a little in fantasy drafts. With that being said, fantasy owners may get a value pick by drafting a slipping Diggs who has the chance to put up wide receiver one numbers while being picked in a wide receiver two draft position. Based on the moves the Bills have made the past two off-seasons, it appears that the offense is trending towards becoming a pass first offense. Allen did finish the 2019 season in the lower tier on pass attempt totals, but with a more threatening 11-personnel combination, it is likely the Bills will be airing it out more in 2020, which can really benefit Diggs.

It is uncertain how productive Diggs will be in year one with the Bills, but it is unwise to deny Diggs’ talent and the potential that he could make a perfect fit on the 2020 Bills offense. As long as fantasy owners aren’t drafting him as the number one receiver option their team, these owners should be happy with his output at year’s end.
