Past the Rookie Jitters

The second reason as to why Oliver will make the Pro Bowl in 2020 is there are no more jitters.

Coming into his second season now, Oliver will know what to expect. Having his first season to learn the system behind him, knowing that the opposition’s offensive lines are capable of, and having had a season to learn how to be a pro, the nerves of being a rookie are behind him.

As much as fans look at athletes as super-humans who never let their nerves get the best of them, at the end of the day they’re human just like you and I and even they have to fight a battle between ears along with the one they have to out on the field.

With the Buffalo Bills so invested in the development of their former first-round selection, they have brought in players to not only help Oliver on the field but off of it as well. Having brought in more experienced players through free agency will also help with this. With a combined 14 years of NFL experience between Taylor (4), Butler (5), and Jefferson(5) Oliver now has a tremendous support amount of experience around him to help coach him, motivate him and help him make his second NFL season one that sees him get recognition for his efforts.
