Round 2, 54th overall: Trevon Diggs, CB (Alabama)

While this could look a bit like the front office is trying to create a nice storyline by drafting the brother of the star wide receiver they just traded for but Trevon Diggs is a perfect for the Buffalo Bills defense.

The former Crimson Tide cornerback has had some mixed opinions on where he could be drafted from as high as Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller saying he still has him in his Top 50 while Mel Kiper Jr. at ESPN is hearing he could fall all the way to Day 3.

However if he is there at 54, then the Buffalo Bills shouldn’t risk him not being there in the third round and select him now. Diggs is a long cornerback that has plenty of experience in zone coverage, which is something this defense utilizes a lot.

If the Bills were to select Trevon Diggs, it wouldn’t be surprised to see him compete for that starting job as a rookie, and eventually win it at some point in the season.
