This is our grade for the Buffalo Bills agreeing to a three-year deal with defensive end Mario Addison.
The big news on Monday night was the Buffalo Bills agreeing to trade for Stefon Diggs. However, shortly after that news broke, it was reported that the Bills had agreed to a three-year deal with Mario Addison.
Prior to signing with the Bills, Mario Addison was a member of the Carolina Panthers from 2012 to 2019. He developed into one of the most consistent pass rushers on that Panthers defense and going back to 2014 he has had at least six sacks every season. That number jumps up to at least nine sacks over the past four seasons.
The signing of Addison helps address a need at pass rusher, especially after Shaq Lawson left the Bills in free agency and signed with the Miami Dolphins. The production from the defensive end position last year was one of the few weak spots on a rather impressive defensive unit.
When evaluating the Buffalo Bills’ signings we look at three key areas: Team Need, Team Fit, Contract and compile those grades for a final grade. This is how we grade the Bills signing Mario Addison.
