Frank Gore

The only other player on the Buffalo Bills that was older than Lorenzo Alexander on the roster last season was running back Frank Gore. The veteran running back signed a one-year deal with the Bills last year and while he did move to third in NFL history for most rushing yards, he likely has played his final snap with the Bills.

This is not to say that the signing of Gore was a bad one, it actually was a very beneficial signing for the team that can’t be captured on the stat sheet. The experience and leadership Gore brought to the team, especially for rookie Devin Singletary paid dividends as he had one of the best rookie seasons for the Bills in over 10 years.

This offseason though the front office needs to solidify the running back position and provide a solid running mate to play with Singletary. The Bills need a running back that can split the workload or even step up in Singletary’s absence if the need arises.

At this point in his career, that is not what Frank Gore would be able to do. This is why it would seem likely that Frank Gore played his last game with the Buffalo Bills.
