Shea Patterson

Shea Patterson is another athletic quarterback in this class that should be available in the later rounds for the Buffalo Bills. Similar to Bryant, Patterson transferred during his time at college by going from Ole Miss to the University of Michigan. His final season in Ann Arbor ended up being the best of his college career with 3,061 passing yards, 23 passing touchdowns and only eight interceptions.

However, Patterson could need more coaching than a Kelly Bryant and even though he has plenty of experience, he is still considered pretty raw based on what he was asked to do for the Wolverines. For what the Buffalo Bills would be looking for though, he seems to fit the need perfectly if Kyle Crabbs’ scouting report for The Draft Network is correct:

"Shea Patterson projects as a late round prospect that with proper coaching and development could provide an NFL franchise with a backup quarterback. Patterson’s ability to thrive off script and his raw physical tools provide enough of a foundation to work with moving forward and the unpredictability and confidence to take vertical shots can provide a team with a secondary QB who can come off the bench and serve as a flash in the pan. Too irregular to be considered a viable starter."
