Buffalo Bills: Top takeaways from the 2019 season
Tough ending to season but Bills are heading in right direction
The Buffalo Bills looked like they were heading to their first playoff win in close to 25 years as they built a 16 point lead over the Texans. However, nothing seemed to go right in the second half as they saw their lead disappear, eventually losing in overtime.
There is no question that the loss stings but the good news is that the franchise is on an upward trajectory. Anyone who follows the Bills has heard about the “Process” plenty of times and this season was the first year there was positive results from that.
The Bills with Brandon Beane as general manager financially is in great position with close to $90 million in cap space this offseason and nine draft picks. In the past two years, the Bills have drafted a strong nucleus of players including Josh Allen, Tremaine Edmunds, Ed Oliver and Devin Singletary. They have most of of their key contributors under contract for the next few years.
This has the feeling of being just the beginning of something very special in Buffalo.
