Frank Gore

While the Buffalo Bills defense is the strength of this team, they are best when they spend more time on the sidelines. This means that the offense must be able to sustain drives, avoid three and outs, which will keep Tom Brady and this Patriots offense off the field.

Veteran running back Frank Gore will be pivotal in helping the Bills extend drives and chew up clock.

The performance of the 36-year old back has been nothing short of impressive. When the Bills signed him in the offseason, it was thought he would be added as depth and a strong veteran presence for the locker room. However, with the release of LeSean McCoy and the injury to Devin Singletary, the coaching staff has leaned heavily on Gore.

In the first three games, Gore has accounted for 44 of the team’s 95 carries, with 33 coming in the past two games. He has run for 164 yards this season and has a rushing touchdown in each of the past two games.

If the Bills want to pull off the upset, they can’t afford to get into a shootout. They will need to grind a win out and this is where Gore’s performance will be key.
