Josh Allen

There is no question that the most important player for the Buffalo Bills entering this game is second-year quarterback Josh Allen. While he is a dynamic playmaker from the quarterback position with an incredible arm, the focus for Allen this week should be what he can’t do.

The focus for Josh Allen is he can’t turn the ball over.

Through the first three games, Allen has three interceptions and two fumbles, with one fumble lost. However, two of those interceptions and the one fumble lost took place in the first half of Week 1 against the New York Jets. Since those two quarters, the only turnover Allen has had was an interception against the Bengals.

The easiest way for this game to get out of hand, and for the Bills to lose their chance at an upset, would be turning the ball over and giving the Patriots a short field. This Patriots defense has done an excellent job of forcing turnovers and currently leads the league with six interceptions. They have shown to be opportunistic and will capitalize on opposing quarterbacks’ mistakes.

If Josh Allen can play within the game plan, protect the ball and be smart when he takes his chances, the Bills should like their chances.
