Frank Gore can still carry the run game

The Buffalo Bills don’t know the severity yet but to see Devin Singletary come up limping with a hamstring injury is something no one wanted to see. The rookie running back has been electric through the first two games, averaging 12.7 yards per carry. He also scored his first NFL touchdown against the New York Giants.

However, if Singletary is forced to miss extended time, the Bills are in good hands with Frank Gore. At 36 years of age, Gore is clearly on the tail end of his career but he showed he can still be an effective running back in this league.

He finished the game against the Giants with 68 rushing yards on 19 carries, while adding 15 yards through the air. He scored his first touchdown since Week 12 of the 2017 season.

While losing Singletary for an extended period of time wouldn’t be ideal, Frank Gore has enough left in the tank to pick up the slack.
