Offensive Line

The Bills offensive line was hit hard this summer by injuries and the team’s starting offensive line (Dion Dawkins, Quinton Spain, Mitch Morse, Jon Feliciano, Cody Ford) saw their first live game action when they took the field for the opening drive for the Bills. This is not ideal for a group that had four new starters from last year.

It also seems like the coaching staff is trying to figure out who they want to play at right tackle as Ford and Ty Nsekhe rotated drives for most of the game. However, Nsekhe seemed to get more time towards the end of the game. This is worth watching in the coming weeks to see if this rotation continues or if the coaching elects to go with one player at right tackle.

The performance of the offensive line, considering this was the first time they played together, was pretty good. They did well picking up the blitz and for the most part gave Josh Allen time in the pocket, as he was sacked only once.

The biggest negative from their performance may have been the botched snap between Mitch Morse and Josh Allen. However, this something with time that will not be an issue.
