Tremaine Edmunds

Similar to Josh Allen, Tremaine Edmunds is entering his second season with similar pressure to take that next step in his career. The former first round pick stepped right into the starting role as a rookie and played well but also had areas he needed to improve.

This game against the New York Jets, and specifically Le’Veon Bell, will be a great first test for the middle linebacker. While Bell sat out all of last year and preseason, it remains to be seen how much rust he will have to knock off in his first live game action since January of 2017.

Edmunds is an incredible athlete at the linebacker position and brings a combination of length and speed at the position that is not seen much in the NFL. He is going to need this to not only contain Bell on the ground but also through the air as the running back will likely be a key contributor in that area of the Jets’ offense as well.
