Dawson Knox

One player who could end being a starter for this team and who could see extended playing time against the Vikings would be rookie Dawson Knox. The former Ole Miss Rebel has missed most of the preseason due to a hamstring injury and the coaching staff may want to get him some extra live game snaps prior to the start of the regular season.

The tight end position at this point in the preseason is up in the air due in large part to injuries. The coaching staff is likely writing the depth chart in pencil because it could change drastically over the next two weeks leading up to the game against the New York Jets.

If Knox is able to have a strong performance against the Vikings, and continue that through the practices, he could surpass Tommy Sweeney for the starting job.
