6. Week 8: Patriots 25, Bills 6

The Monday night game was one that stood out the second the 2018 schedule was announced.

The only problem was that when the game happened, Derek Anderson was the starting quarterback for the Bills.

The Bills defense played well in this one and the score was only 12-6 heading into the fourth quarter. Yet the lack of a running game, which was the common theme all year, and a veteran quarterback off the street didn’t form a winning combination.

I would say this was the most frustrating loss of the year due to the fact the Bills were within reach for most of the game.

5. Week 14: Jets 27, Bills 23

This rounds up the losses at home in 2018.

Matt Barkley and the Bills had destroyed the Jets on the road the first time these two teams met, but Sam Darnold provided some magic in the rematch.

The Bills held a 23-20 lead with just over two minutes left, only for the Jets to go down and score in just over a minute. That made it 27-23 and gave Allen a chance to lead a miraculous comeback. Instead, an interception sealed the game.

This loss dropped the Bills to 4-9, but at least it was exciting to watch up until the final moments.
